Big News: MusicFirst Classroom Now Integrates with Your LMS!
For years now I've had conversations with music teachers, technology directors, curriculum leaders, and district administrators about what they love most about MusicFirst Classroom. The answer is usually the same: the combination of high-quality music curriculum, assessment tools, practice technology, creativity tools, and classroom management features all in one place. But there has also been one consistent request. "Can MusicFirst Classroom work directly inside our Learning Management System?" I'm really proud to say that the answer is now yes. Beginning this summer, the MusicFirst Classroom will support native LTI 1.3 integration, allowing districts to connect their MusicFirst Classroom implementation directly with popular learning management systems such as Canvas, Schoology, Google Classroom, Microsoft Teams, and others. This has been one of the most requested enhancements to our platform, and we're excited to deliver it for the 2026–27 school year..
With LTI 1.3 integration, MusicFirst Classroom becomes a seamless extension of the systems schools already use every day. Teachers can access MusicFirst from within their LMS, students can launch activities without navigating to another platform, and administrators can implement MusicFirst using the same secure processes they use for other district-approved applications.
Students will be able to access MusicFirst Classroom directly from the LMS that their district uses. They won’t have to remember another URL, bookmark another page, or switch between multiple browser tabs. Everything can be accessed through the platform students already use throughout the school day. Even better, roster management becomes significantly easier. Class lists sync automatically, eliminating many of the manual processes that traditionally consume valuable teacher time. Instead of worrying about imports, exports, and account creation, teachers can focus on instruction and student learning.
The MusicFirst Classroom was built specifically for music teaching and learning. It combines curriculum, assessment, practice tools, music literacy software, creativity tools, and classroom management features in a single platform designed exclusively for music educators.
